Last week, I met the 15-member India team of a global non-profit (think tank) for a discovery workshop. Below is what I wrote to them a day before as a primer:

Dear team,

Warm greetings! I'm your facilitator for tomorrow's workshop.

Tomorrow's day is not so much a knowledge (learning) session, but more – a conversation. A collective enquiry to explore ways in which we come together, work with each other, offer feedback and receive it. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I don't have any slides prepared. Discovery through dialogue – is the core agenda. And therefore, all I ask of you is to bring your complete presence, significant attention and authentic participation.

And one more thing! Here's the pre-work - please come with an unpopular opinion that you hold (about anything), something that may even be controversial! We'll start our day with that. And then, share stories and then get into a deeper dialogue, before we end with a tiny practice.

Apart from that, be prepared for some silence, very light movement and a bit of challenge & intensity.

I'm excited to meet you all!

Warmly,

Cheyush
